Job Description

Medical Director (DVM) - League City, TX An established veterinary hospital is seeking a dedicated Medical Director to lead its clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for a veterinarian who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care while guiding and supporting a collaborative medical team. The role combines hands-on medicine with leadership responsibilities in a professional and team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Provide compassionate, high-quality medical and surgical care to patients Lead and mentor veterinary team members to promote a positive and collaborative environment Ensure compliance with state and federal veterinary laws, including proper maintenance of controlled substance records Partner with practice management to maintain consistent standards of care and operational excellence Assist in resolving medical-related client concerns with professionalism and empathy Support continuous improvement in medical protocols, quality assurance, and workflow efficiency Qualifications Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the state of Arizona DEA license required Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience; leadership experience preferred Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills Proven ability to motivate and lead a team with fairness and collaboration Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary with no negative accrual $50,000 sign-on bonus Continuing education allowance with additional CE-specific paid time off Paid professional dues, license renewals, and liability coverage Medical, dental, and vision insurance Disability and life insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off up to 5 weeks HSA/FSA options with company contributions Tuition reimbursement and mentorship opportunities Generous employee pet discounts Uniform allowance How to
