Job Summary Position Description
The Department of Psychology in the School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences ( BBS) at The University of Texas at Dallas (UT Dallas) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure system faculty position to serve as Director of the Psychological Services and Education Center ( PSEC). Appointment will be made at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The PSEC is being established in conjunction with UT Dallas' new doctoral concentration in Clinical Psychological Science, which is accredited by the Psychological Clinical Science Accreditation System ( PCSAS) and is the first program in the nation to receive approval under PCSAS's process for newly established programs. The PSEC will function as the primary internal practicum site for doctoral training and as an infrastructure supporting clinical research, specialty clinics, and evidence-based service delivery. The position is designed to attract candidates across career stages. Expectations will be calibrated to rank, with appropriate institutional support for candidates earlier in their careers.
The appointment commences for the fall 2026 semester. Primary Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and administrative oversight of the PSEC, including clinic operations, policies, scheduling, and infrastructure development.
- Supervise and support licensed clinicians, supervisors, staff, and trainees within a clinical science training model.
- Collaborate with faculty directors of specialty clinics to ensure alignment with evidence-based practice and research integration.
- Oversee clinic budgeting, billing structures, and fiscal planning in coordination with departmental and school leadership.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and applicable university and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to clinical training through supervision and teaching consistent with expertise.
- Participate in program development activities related to the clinical psychological science doctoral concentration. Rank-Appropriate Expectations

Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in Psychology from a PCSAS-accredited doctoral program OR an APA-accredited doctoral program in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a Combined Clinical/Counseling program. Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship is required prior to employment. Applicants must be licensed or license eligible. Candidates are expected to demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative, engaging, and dynamic environment comprised of individuals with a range of backgrounds, skills, and perspectives. We are seeking candidates able to deliver high quality teaching using evidence-based practices to effectively engage students from a range of backgrounds and experiences.Preferred Education and Experience:
Postdoctoral training is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates with the initiative and experience to contribute to program development in tandem with establishing the PSEC.Not Eligible:

It also houses multiple pioneering AI-engaged faculty innovating in the fields of cognitive science and human-computer interface research. The Department has a rich history of housing well-known research Centers that lead their respective fields around the globe. For example, psychology faculty members are active participants in several BBS affiliated research centers at UT Dallas including the Center for BrainHealth, Center for Vital Longevity, and Center for Children and Families, with multiple centers led by Psychology faculty. The Department of Psychology is home to the Bachelor of Science in Psychology, BS in Cognitive Science, and BS in Child Learning and Development. It is also home to the MS in Psychology, the MS in Human Development and Childhood Disorders, and the PhD in Psychology. It also shares degree programs with the Department of Neuroscience for the MS in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience and the PhD in Cognition and Neuroscience. The BS in Psychology represents the 7th most popular undergraduate major at UT Dallas. In fall 2026, we will enroll our first cohort of Clinical Psychological Science PhD students along with the opening of our Psychological Sciences and Education Center in Summer 2026.
