  • Full-time We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Director to lead the Emergency Department at Life Savers Emergency Room.
This role is critical in ensuring high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered emergency care while supporting the development of clinical staff and enhancing departmental performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical and operational leadership to the Emergency Room team Oversee day-to-day ER functions, including staffing, workflow, and clinical protocols Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, state/federal regulations, and accreditation standards Lead quality improvement and patient safety initiatives Conduct chart reviews and participate in performance evaluations of ER staff Collaborate with nursing leadership, hospital administration, and other departments for effective patient care delivery Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of ER physicians and advanced practice providers Handle critical incident reviews and coordinate risk management processes Facilitate CME activities, policy development, and adoption of best practices
Requirements:
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution Board certification in Emergency Medicine (preferred) or Internal/Family Medicine with strong ER experience Active, unrestricted medical license in Texas Minimum 5 years of clinical ER experience, with 2+ years in a leadership role Strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills Proven ability to lead in high-stress, fast-paced environments
Preferred Qualifications:
ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications Experience with ER metrics, throughput improvement, and resource management Prior involvement in hospital committees or cross-functional teams
