00 Actual pay depends on specialty, experience, and performance Riverside Medical Group is currently seeking a Full-Time Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon to lead our dynamic trauma, acute care surgery, and surgical critical care team at our trauma center in Newport News, Virginia. Riverside Regional Medical Center is a Level II trauma center and the regional hub for Riverside Health. Fulltime role with 15.25 shifts per month: 12-hour primary in-house coverage, or 12-hour back-up call coverage. The trauma and acute care surgery team has six full-time surgeons and five full-time APPs. The program participates in TQIP and TQIP collaboratives and facility NSQIP is available. Covers all trauma and emergency general surgery for the hospital and part of the team model covering surgical critical care units. Surgery residents and experienced advanced practitioners assist with coverage in all service areas, including the intensive care units. Base compensation with additional incentive opportunity for production, finance, quality and retention. Stipend available for APP supervision ($475,000
Opportunity to perform elective surgery work during "off" weeks for additional compensation.
Qualified Candidates:
Progressive trauma center leadership and/or facility trauma survey involvement preferred Board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Trauma and Surgical Critical Care Have, or be able to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice in Virginia
