This position is ideal for a dosimetrist with 3-5 years of recent clinical experience and strong proficiency with Eclipse Treatment Planning . The Medical Dosimetrist will work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and other oncology professionals to create safe, accurate, and clinically appropriate radiation treatment plans. Candidates must hold an active Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential and be comfortable working independently in a hospital-based radiation oncology environment. Key Responsibilities Develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on physician prescriptions and clinical goals. Perform treatment planning for a variety of radiation oncology cases. Calculate radiation dose distributions and treatment parameters. Use Eclipse Treatment Planning System to create, evaluate, and optimize treatment plans. Collaborate with radiation oncologists to ensure treatment plans meet clinical objectives. Work closely with medical physicists to verify plan accuracy and technical feasibility. Coordinate with radiation therapists regarding patient setup and treatment delivery requirements. Review CT simulation data, patient anatomy, treatment volumes, and organs at risk. Assist with contouring support and treatment-planning preparation as appropriate. Optimize treatment plans to achieve target coverage while minimizing dose to healthy tissue. Perform plan evaluations using dose-volume histograms and other clinical planning tools. Complete accurate treatment calculations and documentation. Participate in quality assurance and treatment-plan review processes. Modify treatment plans when clinical or technical changes are required. Maintain accurate and timely treatment-planning records. Follow radiation safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Communicate clearly with physicians, physicists, therapists, and other members of the oncology team.
