Locums About the Facility This outpatient cancer center provides dedicated radiation oncology services in a structured clinical environment. The facility utilizes
EPIC EMR
alongside Elekta and Siemens equipment to support advanced cancer treatment delivery. The center maintains established clinical protocols to ensure coordinated and quality oncology patient management. A locum tenens Radiation Oncologist is sought to provide coverage on a two-week-per-month basis beginning in August. About the Facility Location Asheville, North Carolina, situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains, serves as a gateway to notable natural landscapes in the Southeast. The downtown area features award-winning restaurants, music venues, art galleries, museums, and boutiques. Outdoor activities include hiking, whitewater rafting on the French Broad River, and scenic drives along the Blue Ridge Parkway, with guided tours such as waterfall jeep tours and half-day hikes available for visitors. The Biltmore Estate, the North Carolina Arboretum, and nearby mountain towns offer additional points of interest beyond the city center. Western North Carolina, including areas near Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains, provides further options for those looking to explore the broader region. About the Clinician's Workday The radiation oncologist will provide clinic-based outpatient oncology services Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no call requirements. Clinical responsibilities include managing an average of 20 patients on treatment per week for weekly status checks and conducting 4 new patient consultations per week. The clinician will utilize
EPIC EMR
for all patient documentation and treatment coordination. Treatment delivery is supported by Elekta linear accelerator and Siemens equipment. Board certification in Radiation Oncology is required, and an active North Carolina medical license must be maintained; temporary privileges are available to facilitate timely onboarding. This assignment is structured as two weeks per month beginning in August on an ongoing basis.
