This position works a schedule of Wednesday - Saturday 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM. Life:
As the Urgent Care Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our veterinary clinic, ensuring exceptional patient care while leading and supporting a team of veterinary technicians. In this hands-on leadership role, you will coordinate staff schedules, provide coaching and performance feedback, train and mentor new team members, and help foster a positive, collaborative work environment. You'll also partner with veterinarians to ensure seamless communication with clients, manage escalated concerns with professionalism and compassion, and maintain accurate medical records and clinic documentation. In addition to your leadership responsibilities, you'll play an active role in patient care by supporting technicians as needed, ensuring clinic and surgical areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked, monitoring medical supply inventory and DEA drug logs, and maintaining knowledge of current veterinary protocols and emergency procedures. Job Requirements :
High school diploma or GED required. Graduation from technical school (preferred) plus two years of practical experience in a veterinary clinic and at least two years of supervisory experience. Work well both independently and cooperatively as part of the team. Must work collaboratively with clinic Leadership, Veterinarians, and Staff. Ability to remain composed while working in a fast-paced environment. Must have excellent attention to detail. Ability to solve complex problems and balance multiple priorities. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, deescalation skills, and ability to resolve conflict. Proficiency with or able to learn/use Daysmart.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Must be able to hear above the sound of the animals. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. There will be exposure to dust, heat, cold and temperature changes; wet floors, and animal noises, odors and dander.
