Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Practice Administrator to join our team. As a Practice Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a dermatology practice. This includes managing staff, financial management, and ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Job Description:
Responsible for personnel management and oversight of both administrative and clinical operations which includes scheduling initial and ongoing training for staff. Responsible for the enforcement of clinic policies and procedures. Responsible for human resource issues, employee benefit plans, yearly performance reviews, recruiting, onboarding and offboarding. Responsible for the oversight of the billing operations and accounts receivable. Travel is required between the two locations. Responsible for assisting the CEO in planning, leading and directing the rest of the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Establishes\implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems for all operational areas of the clinic. Develops/implements long-range plans. Manages the daily operations while developing, monitoring, and analyzing budget and financial information cost effectively. Oversees HR and ensures effective administration/implementation of compensation, benefits, job descriptions, personnel policies and payroll practices. Participates in the selection, training and supervision of all clinic staff. Participates in staff supervision, performance evaluation, merit increases and disciplinary actions. Resolves administrative and operational problems including the maintenance of clinic property, computer systems and installed software applications. Ensures compliance with regulations and standards, including government regulation with HIPAA, OSHA, and other entities as required by federal, state, and local county/ municipality law. Gathers and reports data for fiscal and statistical analysis, including both clinical and financial data. Oversees accounts receivable, active claims, denials, and responsible for the billing team at the practice. Coordinates and maintains credentialing with Medicare, third party payors, and other entities as required. Coordinates with medical staff to ensure quality patient care and services are provided. Serves as a liaison between clinic and external agencies. Helps chief executive officer develop clinic strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients and staff. Excels at solving human resources, clinical, and strategic problems. Excels at customer service. Maintains the strictest confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned.
Performance Requirements:
Knowledge:
Knowledge of principles and practices of health care planning and management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of an outpatient clinic-based health care organization. Knowledge of the purposes, organization, and policies of the community's health systems sufficient to interact with other health care providers. Knowledge of practice management computer systems and applications. Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care. Knowledge of government and reimbursement regulations and requirements. Knowledgeable of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and other third-party payors' guidelines. General knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.

Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree with an emphasis on business, healthcare administration or related fields. Previous management experience leading a team in healthcare for 5+ years. Understanding of dermatology workflows and processes. Leadership and management skills that support high patient experience standards and the development of the team, inspiring positivity and accountability. Strong critical thinking skills, and the ability to analyze and develop strategy. Possesses a high degree of discretion, and professionalism, and can maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality. Strong time management and prioritization skills. Ability to maintain a professional, respectful and courteous work environment.
