Left Hand Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced veterinary technician who is ready to take the next step in their career as a Lead Veterinary Technician/Veterinary Nursing Supervisor . This role combines advanced technical skills with team leadership, training, and operational support to help our hospital deliver outstanding patient care every day. We are looking for a technician who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, and creating efficient workflows while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety and client service. About Left Hand Animal Hospital Located in beautiful Niwot, Colorado, Left Hand Animal Hospital is a Fear Free Certified Practice dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care for dogs and cats. Our team is committed to providing high-quality preventive care, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, pain management, and integrative treatment options in a low-stress environment. What You'll Be Responsible ForTeam Leadership & Development Serve as a clinical resource for technicians, assistants, and support staff Assist with onboarding and training new team members Provide coaching, feedback, and support to encourage growth and accountability Help maintain a positive and collaborative hospital culture Partner with hospital leadership to improve efficiency and patient care standards Clinical Excellence Assist veterinarians with medical appointments, procedures, and treatments Monitor anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures Perform patient assessments and nursing care Collect and process laboratory samples Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs Ensure accurate treatment records and medical documentation Operational Support Help coordinate daily technician workflow Monitor equipment maintenance and supply needs Support implementation of hospital protocols and best practices Promote patient safety and Fear Free handling techniques throughout the hospital Qualifications We're interested in candidates who bring: Previous veterinary technician experience in a fast-paced practice Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical nursing skills Experience with dental procedures and dental radiography Knowledge of laboratory diagnostics and radiology Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A passion for teaching and supporting others Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities A commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Leadership experience is preferred, but we are also open to experienced technicians who are ready to grow into a leadership position.
