This is a working supervisor role in a fast-paced veterinary boarding environment . You will be actively involved in daily animal care while also leading lodging and daycare staff. This is not a monitoring-only or "front desk" style leadership role. Applicants must already have professional animal care experience AND prior supervisory or lead experience. What This Role Actually Involves This is a hands-on position that includes: Supervising lodging and daycare staff during daily operations Direct involvement in animal care throughout the day Overseeing safe group play and behavior monitoring Administering medications accurately and on schedule (required) Feeding, cleaning, bathing support, and sanitation tasks Maintaining facility cleanliness and animal housing standards Responding appropriately to animal behavior issues or medical concerns Keeping structured routines on track during busy periods Communicating clearly and consistently with team members and management If you are not comfortable working physically in animal care every shift, this is not the right role. What We're Looking For We are selective about this position.
Ideal candidates will have:
Professional experience working with dogs and/or cats in a kennel, veterinary, or structured boarding environment (required) Prior supervisory, team lead, or shift lead experience (required) Hands-on experience with medication administration in an animal care setting (required or strongly preferred depending on background) Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active environment Ability to follow protocols precisely without cutting corners Strong communication skills with both staff and management Consistent reliability and punctuality (attendance matters in this role) Calm, controlled approach when managing multiple tasks and animals Genuine, proven comfort handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments We are not looking for first-time animal workers or candidates whose only experience is personal pet ownership. Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day Open availability, including weekends, evenings, and holidays Professional animal handling experience (required) Supervisory/lead experience (required) Medication administration experience or demonstrated competency in a clinical/boarding setting Ability to work on your feet and remain active for long periods What We Provide We operate with a structured team system designed to support consistency, training, and accountability across shifts.
