Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Medical Office Manager to join our healthcare team. This pivotal role involves supporting the daily operations of a busy medical practice, ensuring efficient clinic management, compliance with healthcare regulations, and exceptional patient service. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive medical office experience, strong supervisory skills, and proficiency in various electronic health record (EHR) systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the smooth functioning of our healthcare facility while fostering a patient-centered environment. Duties Assist in overseeing the daily operations of the medical office, including patient scheduling, registration, and check-in procedures. Support financial management tasks such as billing, coding, collections, and budget monitoring using medical billing software and practice management systems. Supervise administrative staff, providing training, performance evaluations, and ensuring adherence to office policies and procedures. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare privacy regulations. Coordinate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth patient flow and effective communication across departments. Monitor clinic compliance with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO standards and health policy policies. Assist in human resources functions including staffing schedules, credentialing, and staff development initiatives. Utilize office management tools like Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and communication purposes. Support practice management efforts by implementing process improvements to enhance patient care efficiency. Maintain accurate medical records, ensure proper documentation of medical terminology, and oversee medical administrative support functions. Contribute to managed care activities including utilization management and insurance verification processes. Participate in budget planning, financial management, and cost control initiatives related to healthcare practice operations. Requirements Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice administration with a strong background in clinic or dental office environments. Knowledge of ECW is a must! Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams effectively. Familiarity with healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance, JCAHO standards, and health regulation policies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for reporting and administrative tasks. Strong understanding of fiscal management principles including budgeting and financial oversight. Excellent managerial communication skills coupled with customer service expertise. Acute care or critical care experience is advantageous for understanding complex patient needs. Ability to navigate managed care processes such as utilization management effectively. Prior experience in dental clinic settings is preferred but not mandatory.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
