Responsibilities:
Fosters a positive working environment that is responsive to patient and employee needs. Trains and directs front office staff in efficient and effective intake policies and procedures. Ensures daily clinic schedules are accurate and well prepped for registration, insurance, and clinical needs. Oversees and monitors optimal collections at check-in; Safeguards and reconciles petty cash on floor. Ensures answering service has accurate daily call schedule; daily messages are distributed to physicians and staff timely. Facilitates front office staffing and scheduling for individual floors; approves vacation requests and maintains updated staffing calendar. Effectively communicates within team, department, interdepartmentally and supervisor with ideas, issues, and resolutions. Maintains effective working relationships with peers for continuity and efficiency in workflows. Maintains accurately documented policies and procedures. Privately answers and responds to any patient questions and/or concerns. Maintains an orderly and clean office and patient lobby. Maintains and re-stocks office supplies; notifies appropriate personnel of inventory for purchasing. Perform any other services deemed reasonable by physician or manager.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required A minimum of two years' experience in a medical office or other healthcare setting is required Basic understanding of medical terms and abbreviations is required Knowledge of health insurance and PPO networks Fundamental knowledge of basic billing procedures.
