Salary:
\$65,000-\$75,000, depending on experience. Relocation assistance available for out of state applicants.

WHAT YOU\'LL DO
You\'ll work closely with our Director of Operations to: Guide & support an incredible team of staff & volunteers Work alongside the behavior & medical teams with a focus on quality of life & decreased length of stay for animals at the adoption center. Create positive, respectful experiences for adopters, surrenderers, & visitors Lead group discussions, trainings, scheduling, performance development, & team culture Lead daily adoption center shelter operations, including the intake, care, adoption, & euthanasia of animals. In conjunction with the volunteer & foster care coordinator, work to foster a positive & supportive culture aimed at the inclusion, development & integration of volunteers into our collective goal Provide euthanasia counseling while upholding the highest standard of respectful, compassionate care Model the kindness & professionalism that define the MSPCA This is meaningful leadership that truly changes lives of both humans & animals.
WHAT WE\'RE LOOKING FOR 2
years of management or supervisory experience (non-profit preferred) 2 years of experience working in animal sheltering, veterinary services, or comparable social services fields Bachelor\'s degree A compassionate, people-centered leader who believes deeply in helping animals & their families Excellent communication skills & strong attention to detail A commitment to maintaining the positive, supportive culture we\'ve built Spanish proficiency is a plus! WHO WE ARE
The MSPCA is the largest animal welfare organization in New Engl&- caring for & placing over 12,000 animals annually across our four adoption centers & caring for over 14,000 animals in our community clinics. For our adoption centers, we aim to help the greatest number of animals by upholding an open adoption philosophy & moving pets through the shelter effectively while maintaining a commitment to socially conscious sheltering. For our community clinics we work to provide access to low-cost veterinary care that helps keep families together with their pets. Qualifications Education Required Bachelors or better. Experience Required 2 years: Experience working in animal sheltering, veterinary services, or comparable social services fields 2 years: Management or supervisory experience (non-profit preferred) Must be able to drive the Shelter vehicle & possess valid MA driver?s license & a clean driving record.
