North Star Sheets, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, and corrugated manufacturing industry leader currently has an exciting opportunity available for an Office Manager (Customer Service & Scheduling) in Cottage Grove, MN. The Office Manager manages daily operations and staff for Customer Service and Scheduling support.
ESSENTIALS JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION
Quickly and efficiently respond to internal and external requests related to order status, defects, expedites, troubleshooting, credits, pricing, delays, volume management, farm outs, order/scheduling related corrective actions and all order entry/customer interface portals. Resolve challenges with innovative solutions, systems and process improvements. Ensure expectations are met both internally and with our outside customers. Provide support to staff and be able to back up in their absence. Handle and resolve customer complaints while striving for permanent, ongoing resolution. Enter & proof orders, credits, resolve trim issues, handle escalated issues. Continuously audit processes and KPIs to certify we are meeting/exceeding goals and working to improve service. Provide superior customer satisfaction while maintaining our business strategy and integrity. Enforce a safe environment that allows people to work comfortably and at a high level of productivity. Interview, hire, train, coach and promote team members. Create and maintain documented SOPs and Work Standards. Facilitate Coach & Counsel sessions. Assist General Manager with price quotations and/or questions on existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction. Keep General Manager informed of problems and situations that may affect the performance of sales service, customer service, scheduling, and shipping. Partake in weekly Management meetings. Expense reduction. Advanced computer skills in MS Office Suite and other applications/systems. Teambuilding and supervision. Report and document preparation. Meeting and event planning. Office incentives (positive reinforcement). Additional duties as assigned. Comply with company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma. Min 5+ years' experience in a leadership role, in a manufacturing environment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree. Corrugated experience is a plus.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word). Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multi-task with continuous interruption while maintaining priority.
