Job Summary:
Are you an organized leader who loves variety and hates being stuck behind a desk all day? We are seeking a dynamic, proactive Office Manager to orchestrate the daily flow of our practice. The ideal candidate will seamlessly split their time between high-level team leadership and stepping onto the clinic floor to assist hands-on. You will be responsible for keeping our 6-person team motivated, maintaining a smooth patient flow, and confidently jumping into clinical support (pre-testing, patient workups) whenever needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Practice Flow & Operations:
Monitor the daily schedule to ensure smooth patient transitions, minimal wait times, and maximum office efficiency.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and motivate our small team. Handle staff scheduling, conduct training, and foster a positive, collaborative culture.
Hands-On Clinical Support:
Step out of the office and onto the floor during peak times or staff absences to perform pre-testing (autorefraction, retinal imaging, optical sale, etc.) and assist the optometrist.
Administrative Oversight:
Manage office inventory, handle patient escalations with grace, and ensure billing/insurance verification workflows run smoothly.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of management or leadership experience. Strong consideration for those with a background in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office setting ).
Clinical Skills:
Prior experience with ophthalmic/optometric pre-testing and clinical patient care is highly preferred (willing to cross-train the right experienced medical manager).
Leadership Style:
A proactive, "lead-by-example" mindset. You aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and help where it's needed.
Attributes:
Exceptional multitasking abilities, high emotional intelligence, and excellent communication skills.

Full day schedule
