Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Dental Office Manager to lead our dental practice with enthusiasm and expertise. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and deliver exceptional patient service. Your leadership will drive the success of our practice by fostering a positive environment, optimizing workflow, and maintaining high standards of clinical and administrative excellence. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the dental office team, including dental assistants, receptionists, and billing staff. Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, billing, collections, and expense control to ensure practice profitability. Oversee medical administrative support functions, including patient records management, medical billing, coding accuracy, and compliance with HIPAA and other health regulation policies. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks to maintain accurate patient information and facilitate seamless patient management. Ensure adherence to healthcare practice management standards by monitoring quality assurance protocols and implementing process improvements. Lead human resources functions such as hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development to foster a motivated team environment. Maintain compliance with JCAHO standards and other healthcare regulations while managing clinic operations efficiently. Requirements Proven experience in dental office management or healthcare practice management with demonstrated supervisory skills. Strong knowledge of medical office procedures including medical terminology, medical records management, and electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems). Proficiency in managing financial operations such as budgeting, medical billing, managed care contracts, and utilization management. Familiarity with dental software platforms like Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus. Excellent managerial communication skills combined with customer service expertise to support both staff and patients effectively. Comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance and health regulation policies. Ability to handle acute care situations when necessary while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor. Experience in hospital or clinic settings involving medical administrative support or healthcare staff management is highly desirable.
