Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Front Office Manager, where you'll lead the front desk operations of a busy medical practice. This vital role combines administrative excellence with clinical support, ensuring smooth daily operations, exceptional patient experiences, and effective team management. Your expertise in medical office management, financial oversight, and staff supervision will drive efficiency and uphold the highest standards of healthcare delivery. Responsibilities Oversee daily front office activities, including patient check-in/check-out, appointment scheduling, and patient flow management. Supervise front desk staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to ensure high-quality service delivery. Manage medical records and documentation using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or Epic. Coordinate billing processes, insurance verifications, and collections while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Handle fiscal management tasks including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource allocation to optimize practice profitability. Ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and OSHA regulations. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate clinic operations, including managing patient appointments in acute care or dental settings and supporting nursing or medical management functions. Implement human resources practices related to staffing, scheduling, and employee development within the office environment. Requirements Proven experience managing a medical or dental office environment with strong knowledge of office management procedures. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams in healthcare settings. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or Epic; familiarity with Managed Care and Utilization Management is a plus. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, HIPAA compliance, and healthcare regulations like JCAHO standards. Skilled in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and resource planning within a healthcare practice. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinic setting. Knowledge of medical administrative support functions such as insurance verification, billing procedures, and patient scheduling. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as acute care hospitals or dental clinics is highly desirable.
