Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dental Receptionist/Office Manager to lead our dental practice with enthusiasm and professionalism. This pivotal role combines front-office responsibilities with practice management duties, ensuring smooth daily operations and exceptional patient experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical office management, dental office experience, and supervisory skills, all while maintaining a lively and motivating approach to team leadership. Your expertise in healthcare management systems such as Eaglesoft, Fuse, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks will be essential in managing medical records, billing, and administrative workflows efficiently. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage all front-desk activities with energy and professionalism, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and handling patient inquiries. Oversee daily office operations, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations, medical records management, and accurate documentation within EMR/EHR systems like Epic or eClinicalWorks. Supervise administrative staff and dental team members, providing guidance on human resources policies, training, and performance evaluations to foster a motivated work environment. Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, billing processes, accounts receivable/payable, and financial reporting to ensure the practice's financial health. Coordinate with clinical staff to streamline patient flow, manage acute care procedures when necessary, and support dental clinic operations with medical administrative support. Maintain compliance with healthcare standards including JCAHO accreditation requirements and utilization management protocols for managed care plans. Utilize practice management software like Eaglesoft or Dentrix to oversee scheduling, billing, coding accuracy, and insurance claims processing efficiently. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office management or dental office administration with a strong understanding of healthcare workflows. Demonstrated supervisory experience leading administrative or clinical teams within a healthcare setting. Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Epic or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with medical terminology and records management is essential. Strong fiscal management skills including budgeting, financial reporting, and managing practice finances effectively. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality and data security. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
