Job Description

A hospital in Cypress is seeking an Operating Room Clinical Manager RN to provide clinical and operational leadership for its surgical services department. This role requires consistent on-site presence and close collaboration with perioperative leadership, physicians, and OR staff to maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality surgical operations. Position Overview The Clinical Manager is responsible for overseeing daily OR operations, including staffing oversight, workflow coordination, and clinical practice standards. This position serves as a key leadership role within surgical services, ensuring alignment between clinical care delivery, operational goals, and regulatory expectations. The role involves direct supervision of OR personnel and active participation in maintaining a high-performing surgical environment focused on patient safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Provide daily operational leadership for the Operating Room department Supervise and support OR clinical staff performance and workflow Ensure adherence to clinical standards, hospital policies, and perioperative best practices Collaborate with physicians, anesthesia, and administrative teams to support surgical operations Monitor staffing needs, scheduling, and productivity within the OR Support quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory standards Participate in development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures Address operational issues and support resolution of clinical workflow challenges Promote effective communication across surgical and support service teams Maintain accurate documentation and reporting related to department performance Qualifications Active Texas RN license or compact RN license in good standing required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum of 2 years of acute care Operating Room experience required Minimum of 3 years of recent OR management experience (supervisor, assistant manager, manager, or director level) required Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills required Robotics and neuro OR experience preferred Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday benefits Retirement savings program Continuing education and professional development support Partial relocation assistance available for qualified candidates Opportunity to lead clinical operations in a busy perioperative environment
