Job Description
Mech Mental Health Innovations is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and highly organized Practice Manager with a minimum qualification of a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee the daily operations of our growing mental health clinic. This leadership role combines administrative management with clinical oversight to ensure exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and staff development. The Practice Manager will work closely with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, and executive leadership to support high-quality mental health services, including medication management, TMS, QEEG, and other innovative treatments. Responsibilities Clinical & Operational Leadership Manage the day-to-day operations of the clinic and ensure efficient clinical workflows. Provide clinical leadership and supervision for nursing and clinical support staff. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards. Monitor quality metrics, patient safety initiatives, and clinical performance. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices. Staff Leadership Supervise front office, nursing, medical assistants, and administrative staff. Recruit, onboard, train, mentor, and evaluate employees. Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure adequate clinical coverage. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care. Patient Care & Experience Ensure outstanding patient service from scheduling through follow-up care. Address patient concerns and resolve service issues promptly. Support care coordination between providers and outside healthcare organizations. Monitor patient flow and improve clinic efficiency. Clinical Operations Support psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners in delivering high-quality care. Oversee workflows related to medication management, TMS, QEEG, Spravato, and other behavioral health services. Ensure treatment rooms and equipment are maintained and compliant. Monitor medication storage, infection control, and clinical documentation standards. Financial & Administrative Management Monitor operational performance and implement process improvements. Coordinate billing, coding, prior authorizations, and documentation compliance. Manage inventory, vendor relationships, and facility operations. Prepare operational reports and key performance indicators for executive leadership. Minimum Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. (Exceptional candidates with an active LVN/LPN license and extensive leadership experience may be considered.) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience , including 3 years in a leadership or practice management role. Experience in psychiatry, behavioral health, or mental health strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of clinical operations, medication management, healthcare regulations, and quality improvement. Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR), scheduling systems, and Microsoft Office. Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced outpatient behavioral health environment. Preferred Qualifications Practice management certification (CMPE or equivalent). Experience with TMS, QEEG, Spravato, ketamine therapy, or other advanced behavioral health services. Experience with revenue cycle management and healthcare quality initiatives.
