Basic qualifications/responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Strong customer service skills Self-motivated with a drive for continual learning and improvement Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Desire to work well with others and as a team Working closely with the optometrist to set and track office goals Problem solver - Skilled in handling difficult patient issues and resolving them Administrative duties for this position include faxing, copying, making phone calls, preparing patients' medical records, scanning, and entering extensive data in the office's computer system Oversee day-to-day office operations, while managing, coaching, and training fellow team members Knowledge of medical billing and coding procedures, insurance verification, and claims processing Qualified candidates will have at least three years experience working in an optometric office, excellent communication, and computer skills. Familiarity with our EHR and practice management system is helpful but not required (Officemate and SolutionReach). Bilingual is a plus. The schedule is never overwhelming and moves at a busy but comfortable pace. Patients are seen 9-5 Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays. Tuesdays are 12-7. No regularly scheduled patients on Fridays.
