Optical Manager Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Optical Manager to join our team at Solaire Vision in Oakton, VA. As the Optical Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our optical department and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of opticians and support staff to deliver exceptional customer service and drive sales Train and develop staff on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service skills Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of frames, lenses, and other optical supplies Oversee the dispensing of eyewear, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of orders Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety and health regulations Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner Collaborate with the store manager to develop and implement marketing strategies to drive business and increase sales Stay up-to-date on industry trends, products, and technology, and make recommendations for improvements to the optical department Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates, review performance, and address any concerns or issues Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as federal and state regulations
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business or related field preferred Minimum of 3 years of experience in a retail optical setting, with at least 1 year in a management or supervisory role Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and develop a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of optical products, services, and industry trends Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with optical software systems Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and advancement within our company.
