About Us:
We are a multi-provider gastroenterology practice in Mesa, AZ, committed to providing high-quality, patient-centered care. We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to manage patient records and ensure accuracy, security, and compliance.
Position Summary:
The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining and organizing medical records, processing record requests, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. The ideal candidate is meticulous, organized, and knowledgeable about healthcare documentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Process medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA standards Scan, file, and organize patient records accurately in the EHR Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information Coordinate with clinical staff and external providers for record requests Ensure timely and accurate documentation and record retrieval Support administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
1+ year of experience in medical records or healthcare administration Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems preferred Excellent communication skills Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
