The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of health information management, medical records processes, and healthcare privacy regulations. This role involves managing electronic health records efficiently, ensuring compliance with health information policies, and supporting the overall accuracy and security of patient documentation. Duties Maintain and organize patient medical records in accordance with healthcare privacy protection and clinical confidentiality policies. Utilize Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platforms to accurately input, retrieve, and update patient information. Ensure compliance with health information regulatory standards, including health regulation policies and healthcare privacy laws. Assist clinical staff by providing timely access to medical records needed for patient care, billing, and revenue cycle management. Implement records management procedures to support data integrity, security, and confidentiality across all documentation. Collaborate with billing departments to facilitate accurate coding and documentation for medical billing purposes. Support audits and quality assurance processes related to health information management practices. Qualifications Proven experience in medical office administration or health information management within a healthcare setting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with various EHR/EMR systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and revenue cycle management processes. Knowledge of health regulation policies, healthcare privacy laws, and compliance standards related to medical records. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in recordkeeping and data entry tasks. Exceptional customer service skills to effectively communicate with clinical staff and patients while maintaining confidentiality. Prior experience working with clinical confidentiality policies and health information regulatory compliance is highly desirable.
