In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate patient medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and organizational policies. Your expertise will support seamless information flow within the medical office, contributing to high-quality patient care and efficient administrative operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment where precision and confidentiality are paramount. Duties Organize, file, and retrieve patient medical records efficiently using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Ensure all medical records are complete, accurate, and up-to-date in accordance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards Assist healthcare providers by providing necessary documentation for patient treatment and billing processes Maintain strict confidentiality of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA and other privacy laws Scan, digitize, and properly store paper records into electronic systems for easy access and security Respond to internal requests for medical records promptly while verifying authorization and identity Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with legal requirements Requirements Prior experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting is highly preferred Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical record management software Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding practices, and healthcare documentation standards Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure error-free record keeping Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while maintaining confidentiality at all times Effective communication skills for collaborating with healthcare staff and responding to record requests Familiarity with healthcare privacy laws such as HIPAA is a plus Join us as a Medical Records Specialist and play a crucial role in supporting our mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services.
