Job Description
Busy personal injury medical office specializing in Orthopedics and Pain Management is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review medical reports for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Match medical reports with corresponding billing prior to release
- Ensure records and bills are accurate before submission to law firms
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with clinical and billing staff
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand medical reports and billing documents
- Personal injury experience in any capacity is a plus (medical, legal, billing, or records)
- Familiarity with orthopedic and pain management terminology preferred
