Medical Subpoena Processing Specialist Full-Time Location:
Ocean Medical Imaging Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00
PM Pay:
$20 - $25 based on experience and education Anthony Bledin MD Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Medical Subpoena Processing Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for processing subpoenas, attorney requests, and medical records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA, California law, and company policies. Responsibilities Receive, review, and process subpoenas for medical records Verify the validity and completeness of legal documents and authorizations Process medical record requests in compliance with HIPAA and applicable state and federal laws Coordinate with attorneys, law offices, courts, insurance companies, and healthcare providers Prepare medical records for production and maintain strict confidentiality Track subpoena deadlines and ensure timely responses Prepare invoices for medical record production and applicable legal fees Maintain accurate logs and documentation of all subpoena requests and correspondence Scan, upload, and organize legal documents within the electronic medical record system Respond professionally to inquiries regarding subpoena status and medical record requests Answer phones for subpoena status updates Call out for subpoena pickup Assist with additional administrative duties as assigned
Secondary Responsibilities:
Perform routine filing of medical records and related documents Support general medical records department operations as needed Help Front Desk answer phones when needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Prior experience in medical records, legal processing, or healthcare administration preferred Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record handling Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Benefits Eligible full-time employees may receive: Company-paid health insurance (after the applicable eligibility period) Paid sick leave Paid company holidays Paid vacation (1 week after the first year; 2 weeks beginning the second year) 401(k) eligibility after one year We are seeking a highly organized, dependable professional with excellent attention to detail who can efficiently manage subpoena requests, maintain strict confidentiality, meet legal deadlines, and provide exceptional service while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
