Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Coordinator to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing patient records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and facilitating the efficient flow of information within our medical office. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and systems, as well as a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and integrity of patient information. Responsibilities Organize and maintain patient medical records in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements. Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing documentation for compliance. Process requests for medical records from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely updates to patient records. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to input, retrieve, and manage patient data. Train staff on proper documentation practices and the use of medical record systems. Conduct regular audits of medical records to identify areas for improvement. Respond to inquiries regarding medical records while upholding patient confidentiality. Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology and understanding of healthcare regulations. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and data security.

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
