Full-Time Position Overview:
First State Orthopaedics is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to join our team. The Medical Records Clerk will be responsible for processing appointment schedules for all physicians, distributing faxes, managing electronic filing, scanning, and various medical records tasks. This position ensures accuracy and timeliness in compliance with First State Orthopaedics' established procedures.
Responsibilities:
Maintain a working knowledge of the NextGen EPM, EMR, and ICS operating system Prepares satellite office location bags Process and maintains electronic incoming faxes and distributes Maintains a working knowledge of Fuijtsu scanner Maintains a working knowledge of creating, scanning, and filing batches in ICS Ability to interface with support departments and articulate issues and concerns.
Quality Assurance Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Strong communication skills and a good working knowledge of general medical terminology. Proficient computer skills, particularly with medical software systems and data entry. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as stooping, squatting, reaching above shoulder level, and climbing.
Physical/Mental Demands:
High levels of mental concentration and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Sitting for extended periods, repetitive movements, and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
