Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Specialist to join our medical records department in our Plantation, FL office. If you are bilingual in English and Spanish, we highly encourage you to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Accurately input and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Retrieve and prepare medical records for patient appointments and procedures. Ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information. Assist with the release of information requests and handle patient inquiries regarding their medical records. Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff to ensure accurate and timely documentation. Perform regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical records management is a plus. Previous experience in medical records or healthcare administrative role preferred. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology.
