Medical Records Specialist West Palm Beach, FL | In-Office | Full-Time A rapidly growing medical supply company—recognized as one of the fastest-growing in Florida—is expanding its footprint with a brand-new 8,000 sq. ft. office near downtown West Palm Beach. As part of this exciting growth, we are seeking an experienced Medical Records Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. Position Overview The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for verifying patient insurance eligibility, communicating with insurance providers and patients, and ensuring accurate documentation of benefits. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a high volume of daily phone interactions. Schedule In-office position Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00
PM Key Responsibilities Medical Records Specialist:
Managing/verifying patient information. Contact a patient for any missing or updated information. Maintaining and organizing both physical and electronic medical records. Communicating with other healthcare professionals to gather medical records, information and address record-related needs. Assist with medical records requests and questions from insurance companies and other authorized parties. Knowledge of medical terminology to understand, review and process records effectively. Ensuring that all paperwork is properly filed and organized. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines. Typing, navigating operating systems (Windows), email (Gmail) and internet browsers (Chrome, Firefox) and software (Word, Excel, Google Sheets), and data entry. Understanding and ensuring HIPAA compliance. Required Qualifications Two years recent Medical Records experience Experience working in a medical or healthcare setting required High School Diploma required; College Degree preferred Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Excellent verbal and written communication skills (bilingual preferred) Comfortable handling a high volume of phone calls daily Strong self-discipline, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-based environment Why Join This Team?
