We are seeking a motivated and customer service oriented individual to join our team. Our ideal candidate needs to have excellent communication and time management skills, be well organized with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will act as the primary liaison between patients, insurance companies, legal entities, and our clinical team to facilitate the proper release of health information while strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations. This position is available in the area of Glen Burnie, MD. What you'll be doing•
Request Processing:
Review and verify incoming medical record requests for authorization, authenticity, and legal compliance.
Record Retrieval & Delivery:
Accurately pull, compile, and securely transmit requested patient charts and data.
Compliance:
Ensure all procedures align strictly with HIPAA guidelines and facility confidentiality policies.
Customer Service:
Field inquiries from patients and outside agencies regarding the status of their requests.
Database Maintenance:
Log and track all correspondence using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Efficiently manage your phone/email correspondence, and maintain consistent, professional, verbal, digital and written communication with clients and Team Members. Maintain patient confidence and protect medical office operations by keeping patient information confidential. Perform other assigned administrative/billing and records duties, as needed. What you'll need•Be available Monday•Friday, 8 AM and 4 PM MUST have excellent communication/phone skills. Have strong phone, computer and data entry skills. (Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook) Some experience with electronic billing systems, medical terminology, and medical records is needed. (Training will also be provided) Just bring energy and a great attitude to the office. Owning a personal vehicle to get to and from the office is needed. Have a High School Degree or Equivalent.
