The Medical Records Clerk plays a vital role in supporting high-quality participant care by ensuring medical records are accurate, organized, and secure. In this collaborative and fast-paced environment, you'll work alongside dedicated clinical teams to maintain participant assessments, care plans, and treatment documentation. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping staff access timely patient information, supporting quality improvement efforts, and contributing to a positive, team-oriented workplace focused on exceptional care and professional growth. Key Responsibilities Organize, file, and maintain participant medical records in both physical and electronic formats. Input, update, and retrieve participant data in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Support the training of staff in using the EHR system effectively. Ensure that all medical records are maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Assist in preparing for audits by ensuring that all records are properly maintained and available for review. Work closely with healthcare providers and clinical staff to ensure the accurate and timely documentation of participant care, assessments, and treatment plans. Respond to internal and external requests for medical records, ensuring that proper authorization is obtained before release of information. If selected for the position you will receive a full job description. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field. Experience with medical records. Familiarity with medical terminology, recordkeeping systems, and privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
