Description:
Bruce Community Living Center is looking for a Medical Records Specialist to join our growing team! Details:
Monday-Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm Medical Records Director duties include but are not limited to: Maintain all medical records in accordance with federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures. Provide daily reports during clinical stand-up meetings, including past-due forms, clinical alerts, physician orders, admissions, discharges, and other pertinent information. Establish and maintain resident medical records in both electronic and paper formats as required. Collect information from nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals and ensure records are updated accurately. Audit medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and state regulations. Assist the nursing department with administrative support, audits, and educational initiatives. Ensure resident information is maintained securely and confidentially. Monitor documentation processes and identify areas for improvement. Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record systems and related software. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support quality resident care. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two (2) years of Long-Term Care experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
