Description:
The candidate for this position requests medical bills and records, prepares demands that accurately reflect our client's injuries and treatment to be reviewed by the attorneys and insurance companies by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Requests medical records and bills and reads medical records to determine what is related to the accident. Verifies DOB and SS numbers of clients. Enters bills into the GrowPath System. Reviews health insurance liens. Communicates with medical providers and insurance companies. Reviews medical records to determine what relates to the accident/incident and reviews records for possible health insurance to put on notice. Responsible for updating GrowPath with any corresponding letters. Make notes in GrowPath for sending to QC or other completed tasks. Ensure service dates are correct and all liens are listed in the money tab in GrowPath. Coordinate with Attorney Liaisons to keep files updated. Keep class code and case date updated. DocuWare System - Scan and save documents to upload to DocuWare. Prepare demands - keep bills, records and money tab updated. Keep track of monthly demands. Check voice mails and return calls daily. All other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to three (3) months related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, write simply and short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Compensation is based on education and experience.
