HIM Specialist

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Prioritize, locate, pull, assemble, track and analyze medical records. 2. Check and correct Admission Reports for multiple names/MRNs. 3. Create folders and assemble discharge charts for prior day's discharges. 4. Analyze Inpatient, IOP, and PHP discharges and complete Discharge Summary Plan Tracker. 5. Flag incomplete Transfer/Discharge Summaries and telephone orders for physicians to sign. 6. File and maintain the Physician Deficiency Room. 7. Enter complete Transfer/Discharge Summaries. 8. File and process properly authorized Authorizations to Release Protected Health Information in a timely manner. 9. Accurately files all charts belonging to assigned aisles to appropriate location daily. 10. Accurately files all loose papers for assigned files within three-business days of receipt. 11. Maintains clean aisles. 12. Performs other work as needed/assigned by the HIM Manager. 13. Service Excellence is a primary goal! Provide the best customer service experience.
