Full Job Description Job Summary :
Performs a fundamental role that supports the clinical team in providing high quality care for clinic patients following the practices established standards and procedures. These include but are not limited to duties to include processing medical records accurately and on a timely basis, performing retrieval and release of information while maintaining confidentiality, supporting front office staff with accurate current record data, scanning and filing documents. Works with other areas in the practice to assure that procedures and activities are performed efficiently. The physician and staff works together as a team to provide a continuum of health care needs. In addition, the position assignments and scheduled hours may vary to provide quality health care.
Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED. Strong organizational and communication skills with the flexibility to work on multiple tasks at one time. Able to communicate with patients and staff. Able to obtain pertinent information to effectively schedule new patients as well as follow-up appointments.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a physician office environment. Involves developing and maintaining effective relationships with medical and administrative staff, patients and the public. Communications may involve dealing with difficult, persistent or upset people. Requires full range of body motion including, but not limited to, bending, lifting, finger dexterity, and eye hand coordination. Requires standing, walking and /or sitting for extended periods of time along with the potential for irregular hours.
