Summary/Objective Medical Records Clerks are responsible for retrieving and organizing clients' medical records and following up with medical providers and hospitals on outstanding requests. Essential Functions Request medical records using record request workflow in case management software. Follow up on outstanding medical requests, including sending additional correspondence and/or calling providers. Organize and maintain documents in an electronic case management system. Other duties as assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Work Environment This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Fast paced, professional work environment. Required Education and Qualifications Strong knowledge of PC applications, Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent phone etiquette Preferred Experience Familiarity with medical terminology
