Schedule:
Schedules may vary to accommodate time zone differences: M-F 8 am-5 pm M-F 9 am-6 pm M-F 10 am-7 pm M-F 11 am-7:30 pm
Starting Pay:
$18/hour, based on experience

Responsibilities Responsibilities Perform quantitative and qualitative medical record reviews Communicate with physicians regarding incomplete medical records and follow up to ensure timely completion in accordance with regulatory standards Accurately scan and index records according to policy Communicate effectively with hospital leaders, physicians, and clinicians to ensure proper record maintenance and timely resolution of issues Process release of information requests in compliance with departmental, state, and federal requirements Abstract clinical and quality data from medical records for internal and external reporting needs Assist leadership with timely data collection and submission, including CMS reporting requirements Maintain patient confidentiality at all times Meet annual goals and complete other duties as assigned Qualifications Qualifications Minimum Requirements High school diploma Two (2) years of experience in a Health Information department within a healthcare facility Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize Demonstrated problem‑solving skills, urgency, and respect for confidentiality Experience with Epic or other EMRs and database systems Ability to communicate professionally with hospital staff, clinicians, and external partners Customer‑service mindset with a collaborative approach Ability to adapt to changing workload and workflow demands Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Health Information Technology or related healthcare field RHIT or RHIA certification Working knowledge of HIPAA and Joint Commission standards Additional Data Why Select Medical?
