Job Title:
Medical Records Clerk Location:
Chattanooga, TN An established healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Clerk to support medical records and documentation operations in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity offers long-term potential and focuses heavily on records processing, compliance, and EMR system utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and maintain medical records documentation accurately and confidentially Print, prepare, and organize forms, requests, certifications, and related paperwork Review and process medical records requests while ensuring compliance requirements are met Sign and notarize documents as required Utilize EMR systems to access, update, and maintain patient information Support backlog cleanup and records processing initiatives Coordinate and manage supplies and materials needed for document handling Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and confidentiality guidelines
Qualifications:
2+ years of medical records experience required Experience working with HIPAA regulations and protected health information Hands-on experience using EMR systems Certified Notary preferred (required) Strong administrative and documentation skills Ability to work independently and manage deadlines Comfortable supporting occasional in-person business needs if required

Benefits:
