Job Description Hours_40_ / week General Description/PURPOSE Schedules appointments and retrieving medical records from participating physician offices quarterly either by remote access or field (in physician office) collection. Reports to Chart Collection Manager.

Job Responibilities
  • The Chart Retrieval Specialist travels to provider offices within the region assigned and retrieves medical charts (both paper and electronic forms) and uploads them into INET secure system/ folders.
  • You will be assigning yourself weekly appointments at local Provider Offices and Medical Facilities.
  • For each appointment, you will arrive at your scheduled time and scan or download the assigned medical charts, which you will then upload using company equipment and processes.
  • You will likely be more successful in this role if you maintain more frequent contact with your support team and lead.
  • Responsible for in-office work like remote downloading and hyperlinking as per business needs.
  • Responsible to call the practice and getting login information for EMR/charts to collect.
  • Responsible to call the practice and fixing appointments for field collections or other methods of collection.
  • Other work as assigned per business needs.
  • Travel 75% of the time
  • The role may require occasional travel to other territories, including but not limited to San Antonio, Dallas, and surrounding areas, in addition to the Houston region Financial Management
  • Work within approved budget; uses cost-saving measures; contributes to profits and revenue.
  • Receive all appropriate approvals (e.g., purchase orders, expense reports) for incurred expenses. Customer Service
  • Interact with all visitors, physicians, physician staff, and fellow employees in a mature, responsible, courteous manner to ensure a positive and professional environment. Responds promptly to customer and coworker needs, and continually strives to improve service.
  • Maintain sensitive information in a confidential and professional manner. required Skills
  • Reliable transportation and clean driving records are required.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office required.
  • Experience with EMRs preferred.
  • Heavy scheduling experience required.
  • Strong time management, productivity, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Professional and flexible, Productive, Deadline-Oriented, Reporting Skills required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and/or team, self-starter.
  • Bilingual
  • Spanish preferred?
  • Experience reviewing medical records and imaging studies in multiple medical record platforms.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • This is a full-time position and general hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands and fingers, handle, type, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision. Machines/Equipment Used Computers, copy machines, telephone, fax machine, scanner, and other equipment as necessary. Environmental Conditions Indoor climate-controlled environment; occasional exposure to outdoor climate. Moderate to quiet noise level.
