Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Position Overview We are hiring a Health Information Management Technician II to support a healthcare project focused on processing health information records and assisting with a backlog of missing delivery summaries. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in medical records and electronic medical record systems. Key Responsibilities Process health information records accurately and efficiently Pick up discharged patient records from nursing units Prepare, scan, and index documents into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system Review medical records for deficiencies Manage transcription-related clerical tasks Work assigned EMR work queues Answer department phone calls and provide excellent customer service Provide backup support to other HIM team members as needed Meet quality and productivity standards Perform additional duties assigned by management Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Minimum 1 year of clerical experience Minimum 1 year of medical records experience Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy RHIT or RHIA certification is preferred but not required
Pay:
$29.84 - $35.93 per hour
