El Monte, CA Schedule:
Full Time / Hours between 8am & 5pm.
Pay:
$23 - $26/hour - Depending on

Contract Job Summary:
Under moderate supervision, this role compiles, processes, and maintains medical records of clinic patients in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements of the health care system. Performs specialized health information activities necessary to organize, maintain, and use electronic and paper patient health records. Possesses high customer service, strong analytic and problem solving skills, require interpretation and explanation of policy and external requirements related to chart documentation, privacy, and release of information.
Required Skills and Abilities:
1. Working knowledge of ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 coding 2. Attention to detail and record keeping 3. Time management 4. Quality focus and professionalism 5. Productivity 6. Documentation Skills 7. Data entry management organizational 8. Oral, and written communication skills 9. Assurance of confidentiality on sensitive matters required. Specifications /
Experience:
1. High School Diploma 2. AHIMA Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) is preferred 3. Minimum of one year of experience in medical records processing 4. At least one year of experience with Unit Record System. EPIC preferred. 5. Intermediate computer skills
