Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Appropriately and accurately verify charts within the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Assist staff to maintain accurate documentation by assigning document requirements within the EHR. Accurately scan and index documentation to the appropriate chart. Release information to patients, healthcare facilities and other entities with following all laws and regulations including
HIPAA. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Lives out the INcompass Healthcare promise by consistently displaying compassion, treating all with dignity, and providing exceptional care for everyone. Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work. • Observe confidentiality and safeguard all patient related information. Maintain a good working relationship within the department and other departments. Assist clinical staff with completion of documentation in the EHR. Answer the phone to assist staff with documentation requirements and other questions as they arise. Appropriately scan and index paper documents into the EHR in a timely manner. Assign document requirements to charts such as but not limited to treatment plans due dates, ANSA/CANS due dates, etc. Assist as needed to verify accurate information submitted to DARMHA. Review release of information for appropriate completeness. Responsible for coordinating the release of records to other agencies, lawyers, insurance companies, state and federal agencies. Assist in data collection activities as they arise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
