HIM Technician I Hudson Regional Hospital - 2.5 Secaucus, NJ Job Details Part-time $19 - $21 an hour 5 hours ago Qualifications Patient demographics Scanning High school diploma or GED Records management Health information data integrity Clinical information systems Medical record retrieval Health information management Managing patient records Entry level Full Job Description Job Duties Ensures that the medical records of discharged patients are received in the HIS Department. Maintains the integrity of the admission, discharge, and demographic data in the hospitals information system. Utilizes the hospital's information system to obtain medical record numbers, discharge dates and demographic information. Demonstrates good working relationships with the admitting associates regarding assignments of medical record numbers and admission and discharge dates. Provides feedback to admitting associates if error occurs. Communicates with Supervisor in the event Case Management requests a change to the Patient Types of Medical Records. Scan a minimum of 7 SDS, Inpatient Medical Records per hour and a minimum 20 Emergency Department records per hour. On days when performing Medical Prepping, must record 8 SDS per hour, 6 IP per hour. On the days indexing, index a minimum 3 IP/SDS per hour, minimum 12 ED/MRE accounts per hour. Assist with release information.
