Full-Time Position Overview Datavant is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Release of Information (ROI) Health Information Specialist to support a medical facility in Woodbury, NJ. This role is responsible for processing medical record requests, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and ensuring accurate and timely release of protected health information (PHI). The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and experienced in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. This position requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining strict confidentiality standards. Key Responsibilities Process Release of Information (ROI) requests accurately and efficiently Retrieve and compile medical records from EMR systems Ensure HIPAA compliance when handling all protected health information Pull and generate reports as needed Perform administrative functions related to ROI processing Maintain organized documentation and tracking of requests Communicate effectively with healthcare staff, patients, and requestors Provide coverage support when onsite staff are out (PTO/call-outs) Maintain productivity and quality standards Training & Onboarding Datavant DHISC training- Hands-on, role-specific training during the first 30 days Preferred Skills Strong communication skills
- Understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy regulations

- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to commute between locations as needed.
