In this vital role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate health records, ensuring compliance with health information management standards, and supporting the efficient operation of clinical documentation processes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, health information regulation policies, and electronic health records systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through meticulous records management and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities Maintain, organize, and update electronic and paper-based medical records in accordance with healthcare privacy protection and confidentiality policies. Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records by reviewing documentation for consistency and compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Utilize Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) platforms to input, retrieve, and manage patient data efficiently. Apply medical coding standards to classify diagnoses and procedures accurately for billing and reimbursement purposes. Support revenue cycle management by verifying billing information and ensuring proper documentation for insurance claims processing. Assist in ensuring compliance with health information management regulations and healthcare privacy laws. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate seamless records management while maintaining strict adherence to health information regulatory policies. Conduct regular audits of medical records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance. Provide excellent customer service by responding professionally to inquiries related to medical records while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Participate in ongoing training on healthcare privacy protection, health regulation policy updates, and best practices in health information management.
