The Health Information (HI) Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) Master Patient Index and facilitates synchronization with other HMH applications as needed. The main functions, in accordance with hospital policy and/or regulatory standards, are reviewing patient health information, performing patient merges, and completing chart corrections and contact moves. This position is fully remote. Experience with Epic and HIM/Medical Records is preferred.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. Minimum of 3 years experience in healthcare or related fields. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Proficient computer skills. Proficient in learning computer systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
College coursework in Health Information Management or related fields. Minimum of 3 years in a Health Information environment. Knowledge of medical terminology. Chart correction experience. If you feel the above description speaks directly to your strengths and capabilities, then please apply today!
