Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Biller/Receptionist, where your expertise will be vital in ensuring smooth administrative operations and accurate billing processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine front-office responsibilities with specialized medical coding and billing tasks, contributing directly to the financial health of our practice. You will be the welcoming face for patients and a key player in managing medical records, insurance claims, and payment collections. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a positive experience for patients while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out procedures efficiently Collect patient information, verify insurance details, and update medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Prepare and submit insurance claims to ensure proper reimbursement Review and process medical bills, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, ICD coding, and DRG classifications for hospital or outpatient services Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective medical collection strategies while maintaining professional communication with insurance companies Maintain detailed and organized medical records, ensuring compliance with privacy laws and documentation standards Support administrative duties when needed such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence related to billing inquiries Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and healthcare documentation standards Proficiency in medical billing software, EMR/EHR systems Experience with medical collection processes and resolving billing discrepancies efficiently Familiarity with medical office procedures including appointment scheduling and patient communication Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to maintain accurate records and documentation Effective communication skills for interacting professionally with patients, insurance providers, and team members This position is an excellent fit for motivated individuals eager to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
