Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate patient appointments, and ensure smooth communication between patients and medical staff. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using patient management software and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing calls to appropriate staff members Manage patient check-in and check-out processes while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information Maintain accurate medical records. Support medical staff with administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and filing in compliance with health regulation policies Communicate effectively with patients regarding appointment details, test results, or follow-up instructions Ensure the office remains organized by managing supplies, handling correspondence, and maintaining a clean reception area Experience Prior experience working in a medical office environment is highly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook for documentation and communication purposes Knowledge of health regulation policies related to patient privacy and confidentiality (e.g., HIPAA compliance) Experience with medical administrative support tasks including appointment scheduling, and billing support. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly via phone and in person Understanding of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical information Office experience in a healthcare setting or dental office experience is advantageous for success in this role Typing skills that ensure quick and accurate data entry for efficient workflow This position is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their career in healthcare administration.
